VSTE Goes Green: Over the years we’ve made an effort to reduce the amount of paper waste that gets accumulated by reducing the scope of the printed program. This year we will provide a printed conference program with only a summary schedule of the sessions available during each breakout session. For the full detailed listing of each session we encourage attendees to make use of our online schedule here which will work on mobile devices and all major platforms.

Be a Green Screen Machine

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Imagine a student zooming across the surface of Jupiter or racing across the frontier in the Wild West. Envision meeting George Washington or an alien. Seem impossible? It's not! Using green screens, we can put our students anywhere in the universe: past, present, or future. All you need is a green cloth, a recording device, and video editing software. Let your students' imaginations fuel the rest! This session will delve into everything you need to complete a successful green screen experience: materials needed, recommended programs/apps, editing tips, and procedures for student-led projects using Google Apps for Education. Your colleagues will be green with envy with what you've learned!
